Team Lotus support the NSPCC and Alzheimer Foundation (Dementia Appeal), with the specific aim of raising GBP 150000 for the organizations by the end of the 1994 season.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) exists to prevent children from suffering ill treatment. It plays a wide role in preventing abuse through consultation, advice and training to affiliated organisations, and provides an effective national voice for children, campaigning for their rights, needs and protection. Over 5000 abused children are helped every year in the UK by the NSPCC.
Alzheimers Disease is a degenerative condition affecting memory and behaviour in both relatively young and also older people. Unfortunately there is at the moment no effective treatment and money is required for both research and for caring for the patients numbering several hundred thousand in the UK.
